Giving Thanks

 Since everyone else is posting about Thanksgiving, I thought maybe I should too.

Last Saturday I went and spent the day in Logan with one of my friends and his family.

Later that night after we had finished playing games his mom suggested that we go around and say something we are grateful for.

It was kind of neat to be a part of.

I know the guy really well, but not his family so much.

And I was very touched as I sat and listened to them express their gratitude for each other and the blessings the Lord has brought into their lives.

As I was sitting there just soaking in the spirit of thanksgiving, I thought a lot about the things I am grateful for.

This year, this moment in my life, I am most grateful for the people my Heavenly Father has sent into my life.

I have been incredibly blessed with these amazing people that have just added so much joy and happiness to my life.

I have always loved my family.

Not just my small family, but extended too.

Its not super big compared to most, but we are a close knit family and stick together through the thick and thin.

I would say that we have been through a fair amount and have easily discovered that family is what makes everything better. 

Over a year ago I moved into an apartment full of girls I had never met before and now just about 15 months later they have become my best friends. 

They have blessed my life in ways that I don't think they'll ever truly be able to understand.

They came into my life when I needed friendship and people that would love me and except me.

They have held me up and comforted me through some emotional ups and downs that I wouldn't have been able to go through alone.

I'm grateful for Jarom, Heather, Chelsea, Nichole, Hayley. 

I'm grateful for the way they love me regardless of my faults.

For the way that they care about my life and my problems.

I'm grateful for the way that they have been there for me when I needed them most.

And even though Jarom is the only one I see consistently, I know that those other girls are there if I need them.

I think that just by reflecting on the people in my life, it has strengthened my testimony of my Heavenly Fathers love and awareness of me.

I know he cares about me.

That he wants me to be happy.

That he is doing everything he can on his part to help me get through this life.

And that is by sending me incredible people to help me through my life.

How grateful I am for a loving Heavenly Father.
